Homeopathy against jetlag

I always have great benefits from taking homeopathy against jetlag. You will feel definitely the difference.

The remedies from Boiron is my absolute favorite and it comes already in a nice travel package. Since I take this stuff I have not suffered from jetlag anymore.

The ingredients are:

  • Cocculus indicus 6C HPUS – Relieves nausea associated with jetlag
  • Arnica montana 6C HPUS – Relieves muscle pain and stiffness
  • Nux vomica 30C HPUS – Relieves drowsiness and digestive problems associated with travel

Take 5 pellets of each medicine the day before traveling, then repeat just before travel. At the onset of symptoms, dissolve 5 pellets of the appropriate medicine(s) under the tongue. Repeat every hour, until symptoms are relieved, or as directed by a doctor.

Supplement with melatonin

I use melatonin on long-haul flights, which always brings a great sleep and no side effects at all, you buy at your local pharmacy or on Amazon. Night falls and there is less light input to the SCN, melatonin secretion increases. At dawn, the levels of melatonin produced by our body drop again and the body’s daytime circuits take over.

I normally take one tablet before going to sleep on the plane, often I take the tablet already at the airport lounge.

If you are waking up in the middle of the night – in those cases, take 1/2 or one tablet to get back to sleep again. I will not do this for longer than 3 days. Alternatively, if the jetlag has thrown off my circadian rhythm such that it can’t remember it’s bedtime, I take 300mcg just before bed.

Supplement with Ubiquinol 

Ubiquinol (a bio-active form of CoQ10) is a very powerful free radical scavenger and helps our mitochondria (our cells power plants) function optimally. The body undergoes a ton of stress during airline travel (exposure to radiation at altitude being a big one), ubiquinol is one of the best supplements to help mitigate the dangerous effects of these stresses.

Supplement with 200mg of Super Ubiquinol post flight (and ideally take a few pre and during the flight). I use and recommend Life Extension Super Ubiquinol
